The STI 2011® modular frame is manufactured from 4140 Maxxell Alloy steel, pre-cut for high ride beavertail grip safety and ambidextrous thumb safety configuration.  The frame is CNC milled billet, creating a very accurate frame to build the highest quality pistols.  The innovative frame design preserves the 17 degree angle of grip in relation to the slide, original to the 1911.  The essential design element for high capacity, the 2011® grip, is made from glass filled nylon polymer and is checked with 30 LPI in the complete front strap and 25 LPI on the trigger guard.  Available in black, gray, blue, red, coyote tan, or olive drab green (ODG).  To increase strength and durability, metal inserts are molded directly into the grip to allow metal to metal contact with the frame.

All frame kits include: frame, grip, magazine release, mainspring house and trigger.
